What is an automatic watch

An automatic watch operates without the need for a battery. It powers itself through the natural motion of your wrist, keeping it running as long as it’s worn regularly. If left unworn for more than 42 hours, it will stop, but it will start again as soon as you put it back on or gently wind the crown.

This movement, inspired by traditional watchmaking craftsmanship, is more intricate and sophisticated than a standard quartz (battery-powered) mechanism.
